Belview Fire

The Sleev-it fire collar is a powder coated mild steel or stainless steel casing containing layers of intumescent graphite material.
This intumescent graphite material expands at 150 degrees C, to crush the softening plastic pipe and thereby close the penetrations where plastic pipes penetrate through fire rated wall or floors.

Sleev-it fire collars can be surface mounted, or they can be cast in or semi-cast in when fixing space is limited. Fixing is with non-combustible metal screws, anchor or cavity fixings.

A Sleev-it fire collar is required to be fitted to both sides of a wall where both sides are at risk from the spread of fire. When fitted through floor/ceiling penetrations, a Sleev-it fire collar is required only to the underside of the soffit.

The Sleev-it fire collar is fully tested for use on upvc, high pressure upvc, polypropylene, HDPE, and ABS plastic pipes for both wall and floor penetrations.

The Sleev-it fire collar can be used through plasterboard, concrete, block work and brickwork constructions.

Sleev-it fire collars are available in all pipe sizes up to 530mm diameter.

Sleev-it fire collars are fully tested to BS 476; Part 20; 1987, and have also attained test classification in France, Poland, USA and Australia.

Sleev-it fire collars are a one piece collar fitted with either a standard toggle fixing for collars from 50mm diameter and over, (see photo A) or for fire collars below 50mm diameter, a tab fixing is used. (see photo B)

All Sleev-it fire collars have fixing lugs as an integral part of the casing thereby making the collar stronger and less liable than welded lugs to fracture.

Sleev-it fire collars can be supplied in a variety of casing heights, either 30mm high for use on upvc plastic pipe up to 110mm diameter for our 2 hour rated budget fire collar, or as a 45mm high fire collar for all sizes up to 160mm diameter for use on upvc plastic pipes only.
All Sleev-it four hour fire collars are 60mm deep for use on upvc plastic pipe, and all other 2 hour fire collars for polyethylene, HDPE, polypropylene and ABS plastic pipes are also 60mm deep casings.
