Sleev-it pipe wraps

Sleev-it pipe wraps for use within concrete floors or masonry or blockwork walls

Sleev-it fire protection pipe wraps are designed to be secured around plastic pipes by a self-adhesive strip attached to the ample overlap of the plastic sleeve containing the intumescent material.

By removing the adhesive strip cover and pulling the overlap of plastic sleeve around the pipe, the self adhesive strip, when secured will allow the installer to push the complete pipe wrap evenly into place around the plastic pipe within the concrete or masonry wall or floor. The Sleev-it pipe wrap must be installed so that the whole of the pipe wrap is contained within the wall or floor space, and a 5 -10mm maximum space is left between the outermost part of the pipe wrap and the surface of the wall or floor. (see picture).

Once in place, a thin layer of mortar 5-10mm deep, can be sealed around the annular space between the wall or floor and the plastic pipe. This will keep the pipe wrap in place, especially when being used in a floor application.

For use in a floor situation, the annular space left above the pipe wrap must be back filled from above using a approved fire rated mortar.

Sleev-it pipe wraps are available for use on upvc,(including high pressure upvc), polypropylene, polyethylene, HDPE, and ABS plastic pipes for the following pipe diameters:
